Fazeli Mitsubishi "Spot Delivery Scam"

Fazeli Mitsubitshi complaint by Soccerdad
Here is what happen to me:

On February 27, 2008 I negotiated and purchased a 2004 Mitsubishi Montero Limited from Fazeli Mitsubishi located at:

16200 I-635

Mesquite, TX 75150

Phone: 972-270-2080

David W. Hill (General Manager)

We signed a contract and all paper work on February 28, 2008.

I gave them for the agreed to down payment of $1000.00, provided proof of insurance and took possession of the Montero.

On March 14, 2008 (15 days later) at 10:00 a.m. I receive a call from the dealership stating that the deal had fallen through and that the ”bank” was demanding an additional $1800.00.

I stated that I did not have an additional $1800.00 and reminded them that we had a signed contract. I requested to speak to the General Manager, Mr. David Hill. He was not available so I requested a call back. He never returned my call.

At 2:00 p.m. I walk out of my place of employment only to find that my truck is gone. I call the dealership and spoke to my sales person Carlo Menca and he confirmed that they had prepossessed the truck.

As a consumer I would only have 3 days to rescind a contract but apparently the 3 days rule not apply to auto dealerships.

I negotiated in good faith full disclosed everything, they knew everything about my financial situation yet they made the deal and signed the contract only to back out of it 15 days later.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH FAZELI MITSUBISHI!!!!

I purchased a car from Fazeli Mitsubishi and they treated me very well. They were also aware of my financial situation, and worked with me on it.. It DID take a couple days before everything was finalized, but they explained to me that they had to "rehash" the details with the bank to get me the best deal.. If they were trying to "scam" you, as you state...why would they lose a deal? if it were a scam, wouldnt they have just tried to get the money , but left you in the car?? It seems to me that the bank really did require more money up front, as the news says they are due to the economy. I will shop their for my next car too!
